We’re already in the fourth month of the year and though I had thought that things were going to get super crazy, they aren’t as bonkers as I thought they would be. Yet. I’m not going to be complacent about this work because there is a lot. But I do love it, so even though I will say over and over again that it is a lot of work – which is a fact – it isn’t a complaint in any way. I love doing this and I love that there are people who are loving this content. Even if the number of channel members is just 4 right now.
Last week kicked off member polls, early access to videos, and member livestreams for channel members. And since April is the month where we start all of this, there’s going to be one fortnightly vlog this month and two from May onwards.
In today’s weekly roundup, I’m going to be talking about all the videos I posted to my BookTube channel from April 5th to April 11th. These roundups are for every week starting Monday and ending on Sunday. 🙂
If you’d like to become a channel member and enjoy the perks, here’s the link to join in: Channel Memberships – The Melodramatic Bookworm. Thanks in advance if you decide to. 🙂
Also, a reminder: if you’re interesting in buying any of the books that I’ve mentioned in these videos, please use my Amazon Affiliate links mentioned in the descriptions. It would be of immense help to me. 🙂
And if you’d like to support me by making a donation, my PayPal is: https://paypal.me/melodramaticbookworm . Thank you. 🙂
#1 – Books That Made Me Cry
Date Posted: 6 April, 2021
I watched a video on Olivia from StoriesforCoffee do this video and found a couple of books in common. I loved the idea, asked her if I could do it, and went ahead after I got the green light from here. In this video, I talk about all the books that made me cry over the years. Some are pretty predictable, it feels like, going by the comments on the videos. But I’m really happy with how it turned out. If you’re in the mood to cry over fictional characters, lives, and stories, go check this video out? 😀

#2 – Underrated / Lesser Known Books to Read
Date Posted: 8 April, 2021
This was actually suggested to me by a subscriber and I’m super grateful to them. I don’t see these books talked about anywhere and to put these out for the world to see and give them the opportunity to discover these worlds on their own makes me super happy. Some of these are proper gems that everybody MUST read. Do go check this video out if you’re looking for books that you’ve never heard of before but I guarantee will touch you. 🙂

#3 – Bookworm Problems: A Sketch
Date Posted: 10 April, 2021
Level 3 channel members got to watch this video 2 days before it became public for everyone else.
This took me a lot of courage to film and put it up for the world to see. I’m not an actor – far from it, actually, and you can see my inhibitions in the video. The problem with doing all of this and acting on my own is that there is no one to tell me how it came out. I have to assume that it’s alright and then work with whatever is available to me. But I’m happy with how it came out, irrespective of how nervous and scared it still makes me. Does that even make sense? I don’t know! XD

#4 – Member Livestream #1
This isn’t available for everyone to watch as it was an exclusive livestream where I chatted with members, talked about my current reads, my plans for the channel this month, some problematic books, and so on. I had so much fun doing this live that I cannot wait to go on and do more of these. And since these are member exclusive, I can’t share the link here. 🙂
Which of these videos have caught your attention? Would you subscribe to my channel based on these? Or are you already subscribed? What do you think of my Booktube content? What do you think of my blog content? Let me know in the comments below. 🙂
Also, while you’re at it, please go subscribe to my channel? Pretty please? 😀
I’ll be back tomorrow with a book talk about a widely loved book that recently captured my heart as well!
Until next time, keep reading and add melodrama to your life! 😀
