“If history bothered to document our stories, there wouldn’t be enough paper in the world to bear witness to all the women who’ve been imprisoned because our emotions proved too inconvenient for men to handle and too terrifying for them to ignore.”

Rant: The Continued Absence of Courtesy
I have the habit of sitting at the Starbucks closest to home for two reasons: amazing coffee, and decent Wi-Fi. I lose track of time when I work here and get so much done that I’m usually euphoric when I start back for home. So it was that I decided to go there on November 27, 2017 for what I hoped would be yet another period of fruitful work. But no. Tumult of the mind was coming my way!
Relationships and Shared Life Experiences!
Have you ever felt left out as your friends share inside jokes? Someone you were once close to is now close to someone else. They interact with them the way you used to interact with them on a daily basis. It isn’t jealousy that twists you from inside – just a helplessness, as you can feel them slipping away. You have friends you are close to now, too. You have inside jokes, too. You keep secrets, too. So who are you to complain?
Arrogant Rudeness as a Defense Mechanism – How is it Acceptable?
It is unfair to expect that everyone in the world behaves the same way. It is also unfair to expect human beings not to make mistakes. But there is nothing that can actually beat the hypocrisy and the lack of basic common sense that millions of people seem to be afflicted with. While you calmly sit back and look at it from the outside, it is when these qualities touch you that you wonder: Why is the world filled with such arrogant rudeness?
Casual Sexism – I’ve Had Enough of It!
The world is patriarchal. There’s no doubt about it. Someone long ago – a man, perhaps – thought he was the greatest living being to be brought into the world and that women were made to follow and obey a man, even though only women have the power to give birth. Where would he have been if not for a woman? Would he have even been born? Irony punched itself in the face that day.
Compassion and Competition – Why Have People Begun To Confuse Them?
They say it’s a dog-eat-dog world. It is true. But the fact that this competitiveness extends to not only careers, but also emotional capacities is something to think about. Compassion is disappearing at an alarmingly rapid rate. “My problem’s worse,” they say, without a word about anything else. How do you expect to live in such a world, one devoid of compassion? In such cases, it feels better to live and remain alone than to maintain company that shoots you down without a trace of empathy. After all, what is the world without empathy? An empty, dull sphere is all.
Déjà Vu.
I don’t believe in divine intervention by a large margin. If that were the case, things would have been very, very different for me by now. But what I do believe is the effect of déjà vu on the human psyche. The feeling that things have happened before – that you’ve been here before and done it all.
Evolution – Humankind Being Too Obsessed with Itself!
The looming water crisis, that not many people are worried about, made me revamp this blog post – an essay that I had written quite a while ago. Wake up, people! It’s getting serious, and we need to help!
Why Is Sensitivity Stereotyped As Representing Weakness?
Sensitivity as a trait is so much more than the emotion it explains. As with some others, the way sensitivity is seen as a trait is completely twisted. It’s not exactly what it actually embodies. It is seen more as a negative quality than as a positive one. And that is, in no way, an encouraging statement.
Let Me Have This Moment…
