My September 2021 reading wasn’t as great as my August reading, but I’m pretty happy with it. Reason being, I got to a majority of the books on my September 2021 TBR, if not got through all of them. And that, I think, is pretty nice. I spoke about all the books I read in September in my September 2021 Reading Wrap Up video that went up yesterday on my YouTube channel. I read 10 books in September 2021. While some were BAD, some were books that I absolutely enjoyed and became the month’s favorites. Basically, my September reading, as you’ll see was a mixed bag that I completely enjoyed rattling around and reading.
Vicarious Living – The Temporary Sense Of Fulfilling One’s Own Dreams
Of all the versions of MasterChef that exist, it can be universally agreed that the Australian version is the best. No yelling, no insulting, no unnecessary drama. Agreed, the way contestants running around in a frenzy to finish their dishes in time is shown is dramatic, but that is what MasterChef Australia does right. It has now completed its 13th season and it gets better every year. But *spoiler alert*: the old judges are no longer here and though I once said that I don’t want to watch it anymore, I must admit that Andy Allen (a previous season winner), Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo are doing a decent job and making it at least as much fun as before, if not more. Sorry, Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris, and Matt Preston! You know I love y’all!
Why You Should Take Breaks From Content Creation
My most recent tryst with burnout made me think long and hard about the importance of taking a break from content creation. Given, most of us are content creators for the love of it. But even so, when it takes a toll on our mental health, it’s important for us to take a step back, focus on righting ourselves, and then get back to doing whatever we were doing. In this blog post, I will talk about why you should take breaks from content creation. These are my thoughts about it which I put forth before you out of experience.
Meet the Book Blogger Tag – The Melodramatic Bookworm
For my first post back, I thought I’d do a book tag. It’s called the Meet the Book Blogger Tag where I answer bookish questions about myself. I will do a different version of this tag where I talk about movies and travel content as well, but books are my life. So perhaps this tag is apt for a comeback.

Book Spotlight & Book Review: Hot Stew by Fiona Mozley
There are some books which you hear the names of and you think, okay, this is going to be one delicious, lip-smacking book about some delicious, lip-smacking food. Instead, it turns out to be about something else altogether – a headily intriguing mix of the sweetness of the little joys in life, the bitterness of harsh reality, the sourness of anger, the saltiness of sorrow, the bland taste of helplessness, that spicy tang of enthusiastic motivation – and it fills you up with not only emotions, but also with the reiterated knowledge that the world is way more complicated and intricately connected than we think it is. And Hot Stew is one such book.

International Women’s Day 2021 – A Late Rant!
“If history bothered to document our stories, there wouldn't be enough paper in the world to bear witness to all the women who've been imprisoned because our emotions proved too inconvenient for men to handle and too terrifying for them to ignore.”
Romance Book Recommendations – 2021 Edition
This post was supposed to have gone up on Valentine’s Day, just like the video I made, where I talk about some romance books and recommend them to you. But as always, I got sidetracked by a number of issues, and here I am, putting this up eons after it was supposed to have gone up. It is, I think, fitting enough that I talk about some amazing love stories that have touched me, made me cry, and sent dinosaur-sized butterflies rampaging through my stomach. Not all of the love stories are the mainstay of the books mentioned. Some of them could be subplots, but the pull these stories had for me was undeniable.
January 2021 Wrap Up – Starting and Ending the Month with Disappointments!
Oh hello, hello! I’m quite a few days late in posting this wrap up for January, but better late than never, right? That’s what I tell myself and until there’s something else that I come across that will assuage my guilt for being absent here, that’s how it’s going to be. XD I read 10 books in January – far fewer than what I wanted to. What’s more, I started and ended the month with disappointments. Not a big fan of constantly doing this but all the other books, I loved, so I guess I can’t really complain. 😀
