Earlier this year, I decided to start reading and reviewing the Booker Prize shortlisted books. I started off with the International Booker Prize 2024 and predicted The Details to win, but that didn’t happen. Kairos won instead. Kairos – the one book from the shortlist that I DNFed. And hence, I learned that I’m not great at predictions. But was I still going to try and read the Booker Prize 2024 shortlist and try to predict the winner all over again? Absolutely!

Recent Reads – March 2024 Edition | January & February 2024 Reading Wrap Up
Reading wrap ups are a bit of a paradox for me because on one hand, I do love them a lot, given that they let me look back on a reading month and reminisce on all my reads. But on the other hand, actually doing that makes me feel like I’m being pushed towards the edge of a cliff that has a cushion two feet from it. I know that I love it and I’ll be fine, but that anxious gremlin inside me is always trying to convince me to just slowly back away. Which is why my January and February 2024 reading wrap ups have taken so long to put up, even though I’d started writing both of these on time.
Favorite and Least Favorite Books of 2023 | 2023 Reading Wrap Up Series
The end of a year and the start of a new year is always scramble time for me, because I’ve got to do my end-of-year wrap ups and start-of-year plans. I started off 2024 with full energy, posting my 2024 goals, a book review (Roman Stories by Jhumpa Lahiri), and one in my 2023 reading wrap up series (Books I DNFed in 2023). But after that, things got weirdly lethargic health-wise and I somehow lost steam for a bit, trying to post on all platforms but only succeeding on one or two at any given time. That was the impetus that pushed me and I forced myself to revisit my goals for the year. It reminded me of what I want for my brand in 2024 and how I want to succeed.
And that success isn’t going to come about if I flail around like a headless chicken. So here I am, trying to get my to-do list set according to priority and trying to check them off one by one.
Books I DNFed in 2023 | 2023 Reading Wrap Up Series
Welcome to the first blog post in my 2023 reading wrap up series. In today’s blog post, I will take you through the 6 books that I DNFed – Did Not Finish – in 2023. Some of these books weren’t bad. They just either weren’t for me or I wasn’t in the mood and it wasn’t the right time for me to read them.
November 2023 Reading Wrap Up | Books I Read in November 2023 | Recent Reads
Today’s blog post is my November 2023 reading wrap up. I read 11 books in November and although I wanted to read a bunch of nonfiction books for Nonfiction November, there were only a few that I managed to actually read. I will also be withholding sharing one of the books I read in November because I’m saving them for vlogs that I want to be putting up soon. I mean, I’ve been waiting for a few books to arrive at the library and only 2 of the 3 have become available, so all I can do is continue to wait. But I’m very excited for these vlogs to go up!
Recent Reads – October 2023 Edition | Books I Read Recently | 10 Mini Book Reviews
My previous Recent Reads blog posts were reading wrap ups in which I talked about ALL the books I read in the mentioned months. But today, the content in here, while being a collection of mini book reviews, is also a random collection of books that I’ve read in recent times. I’ve reviewed these books on Instagram, also where these reviews are from. Yeah, I know, I’m a genius, reusing my content across platforms. 😛 The point is, I’m really proud of these reviews and wanted to share them with you here.
August 2023 Reading Wrap Up | Books I Read in August 2023!
I decided to do a little wrap up and tell you what I read in August 2023. Even though I read only 7 books, there were some solid heavyweights in there that are now my favorite books of all time. I just realized as I wrote this that in my August 2023 reading wrap up video that went up on Wednesday (you can watch it here), I said I’d read 6 books, forgetting the book that disappointed me the most among this lot. You’ll see which. 😛
2022 Reading Recap | Favorite Books, Books I DNFed, and Least Favorite Books!
I don’t want to start off yet another blog post with how shitty 2022 started off, although by mentioning this, I’ve actually done what I said I wouldn’t. But it’s a big reason why my reading saw so many crests and troughs throughout the year, so it’s unavoidable, really. I’ve already spoke about how blogging went for me in 2022 (here in this blog post). Today, I’ll talk about how my reading went. I’ve been writing this blog post for what feels like decades and only now am I getting to upload it. But better late than never, right?
Recent Reads – December 2022 Edition | October & November 2022 Reading Wrap Up
If I were a little more organized, I would have made sure to have updated my October 2022 wrap up here on the blog like I did on my YouTube channel. (You can watch it here.) To be fair to myself, though, I’d just gotten off a heavy month of blogging and I guess my blogging spirit had burned out. However, the mere memory of the rush of Blogtober and the fact that I got through it, that I succeeded in posting on every day of October, puts a wide grin on my face. I had never expected that I would be able to put up 31 consecutive blog posts (33, if you include the intro and the wrap up) and to have done it has made me super happy.
So the tiredness told me that I had earned a leave of absence from here and helped me decide to combine my October 2022 wrap up with my November 2022 wrap up. I have done combined wrap ups before, so this isn’t some out of the box thing. The downside (or upside, depends on how you see it) is that there are 16 books that I need to be talking about in this blog post – 5 from October, and 11 from November. How did I end up here? We all know the answer to that! 😂
Recent Reads – October 2022 Edition | August & September 2022 Reading Wrap Up | #Blogtober22 – Day 6
I read a total of 17 books – 11 ebooks and 6 physical copies – in August and September 2022, of which 2 were DNFs. I’m pretty happy with my reading because I’ve taken to taking it easy. I’m no longer pressuring myself into wanting to read my whole TBR at once. I know it’s not possible and I know it will take time to get through the number of books that I have. It’s a freeing feeling to have and I’m hoping to continue in this vein for as long as possible.
