There’s something to be said for one month going atrociously bad in terms of reading and then the next one going splendidly fabulous, even if the other facets of life are still hanging by a thread. This is what happened with me. While October 2021 was bad on so many levels including my reading and my life, November 2021 has started off with a bang that I never could have anticipated in my wildest dreams. It’s just the 14th, but I’ve already completed 10 books and I’m the middle of 1 other, a carry-over from September. And I’m staring at the list in awe as I write this blog post detailing my November 2021 reading plans.
October always has me experiencing a burst of hyperactively enthusiastic energy that makes me go, “Oh, I’m going to get so much done before the year ends!” This time, too, despite being unwell and despite not being in the best frame of mind, I’m holding out hope and I made a list of 15 books that I want to read before the end of 2021. I might finish them, or I might not. And though I will celebrate if I finish these books, I won’t beat myself up if I don’t. It will be okay.
In today’s blog post, I talk about how bad 2021 has been so far and the books I want to read in April 2021. There are a couple of books that I brought in from March that I will finish before I start on the other books, but okay. I’m hoping to make April a better reading month than the sorry excuse of March was!
Every bookworm and book hoarder’s problem is that our to-be-read pile never seems to end. What’s more, we keep adding to these piles and then lament that we have nothing to read. Is it our fault? Absolutely not! Is it anybody else’s fault? Absolutely not! It’s just fate. Destiny. It’s written in the stars. That’s all.
So it is with this “knowledge” that I list out all the 470+ books on my TBR in this post. Hope you like it!
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve talked about anything here and I love that this time, ‘hot minute’ doesn’t mean months. 😛 Today, I’d like to talk to you about my reading plans for February. These plans include books for Black History Month, a readathon I’m taking part in, the subscriber pick for the month, pending books from the earlier month/year, and a book for a blog tour that I am part of.
Another list that I should have published at the beginning of the year, but the first month of the year isn’t yet over, so I’m going to consider it a win. But it’s my blog and I think it goes without saying that I can post whatever I want, whenever I want without bothering about anything in the whole wide world. No? Just what I feel? Okay then. 😛
Books. A human’s best friend. Every time you feel down, pick up a book and you’ll forget all your worries. Every time you feel happy, pick up a book and you’ll feel your happiness double. Every time you feel angry, pick up a book and you’ll find that your anger evaporates. Oh, well. This might not be applicable to many people, but yes, bookworms will understand.
