The word ‘atonement’ usually means making amends for your actions that have done wrong to a person or people around you. And when a book with this name starts off with a teenager trying to direct a play that she can show off at a family gathering, you wonder why it is named thus. It is only some tens of pages into the book that you read on, becoming horrified with each page as the story progresses and clears the contextual meaning of the title for you.

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli | Book Review
I came across Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda when I joined BookTube. Or rather, when I started following all the amazing people on there. Every single BookTuber had only good things to say about this book. And when its sequel also made an appearance, I knew I had to get on with it. Becky Albertalli awaited me and I had to start reading her works as soon as possible! But apparently, I couldn’t do it soon enough because a movie based on this book came out and I hadn’t read it yet. The movie’s called Love, Simon and I can’t wait to watch it now that I have read the book!
Ready Player One | Movie Review
Ready Player One is based on a book of the same name by Ernest Cline. Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tye Sheridan, Mark Rylance, Simon Pegg, Ben Mendelsohn, and Olivia Cooke, the adaptation, as my husband tells me, differs a lot from the book. And now, I can’t wait to go home and start reading it.

Wonder | Movie Review
Okay, so Wonder by R. J. Palacio has been on my TBR list for a long time. I had heard so much about it that I knew I had to get my hands on it soon. But unfortunately, the movie Gods made sure the movie was announced before I could read the book. And before I could lay hands on the book, I had to go watch the movie. Thanks to my husband. 😉
Murder On The Orient Express | Movie Review
I am a HUGE Agatha Christie fan. I don’t have to say it but her style of writing is unparalleled. There has been no one in history so far who has been able to build mysteries and solve them as well as she has been able to. And to think that she did this with an array of eccentric detectives? It’s something that places her out of reach of any limit. Indeed, she is as limitless as limitless can get.
Fight Club – I’m Breaking Rule Number 1 | Movie Review
I did come around to finally, finally watching Fight Club. And now that I have, I understand the years and years of people staring at me like I was mad for not having watched this classic. I did question my sanity for not having watched it earlier.
