There is something about beaches that pulls me to them. There is a sense of calm that comes with sitting on the beachside, watching the waters, or walking through their shallower parts, just enough so that your ankles get a taste of the blues. And because of this, you can find me staring at pictures of beautiful beaches, of waterfalls and of large hotels with glistening pools. Especially Santorini, my dream destination that I had the absolute pleasure of visiting in 2017. I can’t seem to help myself as I gaze dreamily at the white and blue walls as well as the blue waters that ripple in the backdrop, occasionally cut through by boats and ships and yachts and what not. It’s a delight is what I’m saying.
India is a land of many wonders, languages, scenic landscapes and beautiful people. There are so many things you can do here, that it would not compare to any experiences that you might have as you travel around the world. India holds many surprises, enchanting, exhilarating and energizing! And after a long and difficult period of mulling over the long and seemingly never-ending list of destination options that I had in hand, I finally came up with this list of astoundingly beautiful locations where you can just throw your head back and enjoy the sprinkles of happiness that Nature showers on you.
There are many things that give a person peace. Family, music, writing, friends, movies – the list is endless. But there is one section of people for whom peace equals the chaos of traveling, the excitement of roaming the world, the wonder of seeing new places, and the joy that comes with learning about new cultures. Within this section is another small one. One that finds happiness just in soaking up the new atmosphere. One that has dreams of having just their solitude for company as they travel and see new places.
COVID-19, as we all know, has put everything on hold. One thing that under this bracket is travel. With the pandemic making it difficult to interact with people, it’s a given that travel on any level and is still discouraged to a certain extent. So while the world is getting back on its feet from this debilitating pandemic, I decided to start posting travel content again. Perhaps a little list or two now and again about places I want to visit or those I’ve visited or things I’ve learnt while traveling. What say? 😉
When I made plans to visit the United States of America in 2015, there was one city that I was going to include in my schedule, come hell or high water. A city so famous for its rush hours, the attractions, its culture, and most importantly, its roadside food! It would be sheer idiocy if I had, not only not entertained the thought of setting foot in this amazing city, but also not actually visited it while in the States. And now, New York City owns me, heart and soul!
