I’ve been away from social media for more than a month, especially because of how toxic it quickly became. Each day brought new dramas, new levels of insensitivity, but there were particularly two posts that kicked me in my head. While I don’t doubt that these were probably done with the best of intentions, I feel that to say these and accuse people of being unwilling to do things for their own selves as a blanket statement ground my gears to no end. Even now, as I look back at them, I sigh and shake my head because of how insensitively rough they are.
The Chocolate Book Tag | Let’s Do Something Cheesy!
I don’t usually subscribe to all the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, but I did the Chocolate Book tag on YouTube last year on a whim on Chocolate Day 2021. I'm repackaging and updating it for the blog here for Chocolate Day 2022 because whatever happens, whatever the times, chocolate is eternal and books are eternal and the combination, even more so. 😉
All the Books on My TBR – 2022 Edition | More Than 520 Books!
I did a post like this last year where I listed out all the 470+ books that I had on my TBR. I had hoped that by the time 2021 ended, I would have brought the number down to 400. Instead, it's exploded to more than 520 books and I'm looking at the list, aghast and surprised, as if I had no hand in adding these books to my TBR. But I'm glad I have these books because some of them, I'm really excited to read, and some others', I got at amazing deals. So either way, let me tell you, I'm the winner, hah! 😛

My Favorite Books of 2021 – Part 1!
Next in my 2021 wrap up blog posts is my favorite books of 2021 list. This is one list that I usually have too much fun making but also am so conflicted by because I just can’t seem to choose. But last year, I adopted a practice where every time I loved a book, I’d automatically add it to a ‘Best Books of 2021’ worksheet in my book list workbook. It’s another matter altogether that end of the year me kind of cussed my past self out for putting the burden on her, but we ended up here. So that’s good, I think? 😛
Books I DNFed in 2021 | Strangest Books of 2021
2022 has had a pretty meh start in terms of life in itself, while my reading has been going great. I’ve finished 2 books so far, both cracklingly amazing! But 2021 had some damp squibs and some that I just couldn’t get through. I did this last year as well, as a video, although I cannot for the life of me remember if I did a blog post. The Intricate Interweaving of Songs and Memories…
I’ve been drowning in floods of memories of late, and as a result, in a ton of related emotions. And while these memories mostly come unsolicited, there are times when a song evokes a memory and I’m instantly transported to a time long ago. I clutch my chest, gasping because of how déjà vu can be so debilitating, even if the memory itself is a happy one. But this is rare, the coming back of happy memories. Most of these remind me of times in which either people have been a-holes to me or when I have been a massive a-hole. And neither of these is a good place to be in, for one makes me sad and the other makes me guilty and angry at myself.
